Soy Sauce Chicken is the best!

Family Favourite. Must try dishes: Peppering Chicken, Shrimp and Spinach, Beef and Broccoli. Small joint, and it might throw some people off, but the food is excellent.

Great northern style Chinese cuisine. None too fancy but quality ingredients prepared with care. Friendly service. Relaxed welcome atmosphere. A favourite.

Sunlock Garden used to be Snow Garden and the family has been loving the best chinese food here for about 40 years- always excellent food.

Dine in area looks and smells a little used and musty. The take away food is decently sized priced and flavoured but would benefit from better cuts of meat.

The best Chinese food in Vancouver

Reasonably prices, excellent food. We have been frequenting the Snow Gardens and now Sunlock since the 1970s. In some sense, this the the yardstick that I measure all other Chinese restaurants against.

Food was decent but not exactly hospitable. Ordered a dish I've had from them many times and the owner / cook was angry when I asked to confirm it was what I ordered as it was different. If you decide to try them order the pan fried pork dumplings. Probably the best item they make.

The food was great but the space needs an update badly. Attentive staff and a good experience overall. I'd go again for sure.

Feb 7 , 2017I pass by this restaurant several times and haven't been to try this place yet .I don't see many people at this restaurant during the day .I'm guessing probably at night is when people come out to this place for dinner .Daryl S , Vancouver

Slow kitchen. The wait time for my small noodle dish was around 40 minutes. The service was pretty poor too - received complaints about how much I tipped, even though the table-service throughout my meal was minimal at best. Above average food quality though. I got the meat sauce noodles and they were pretty tasty. If you're going to order from them, get take-out.

I ordered the beef chow mein for takeout. Half of the chow mein noodles were rock hard and not even cooked. The waitresses that work there are quite rude as well when ordering. Would not go here again.

The food is very slow. You must be mentally prepared to eat here. You have to wait at least half an hour for the food to be served. The price is not cheap, but the quality of the food is not compromised.

Delicious shanghai food. Prices are a bit high but the service and food makes up for it. They also do take out. I love ❤️ supporting family owned businesses especially when they are worth supporting. They are our go to shanghai place !!!!

Surprisingly tasty food and very good service! Was very pleased overall. The ginger beef is definitely a must order!
